We are looking for a skilled and reliable Plumber / Technician to join our Engineering team. The role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing the hotel’s plumbing and water systems to ensure efficient operation, guest comfort, and safety. The ideal candidate should be able to respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies while maintaining high hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of the hotel’s plumbing and water systems.
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain water supply, drainage, sewage, and sanitary systems.
  • Attend to plumbing requests and emergencies in guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, kitchens, and back-of-house areas.
  • Repair and replace pipes, valves, faucets, toilets, pumps, water heaters, and other plumbing fixtures.
  • Identify and rectify water leaks, blockages, low water pressure, and other plumbing issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential plumbing defects and maintenance requirements.
  • Complete preventive maintenance activities according to the hotel maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, repairs, and replacement of parts.
  • Maintain and properly store all tools, equipment, and materials provided by the Hotel.
  • Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized after completing tasks.
  • Follow all hotel health, safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
  • Respond promptly to guest concerns and ensure maintenance issues are resolved to the guest’s satisfaction.
  • Support other Engineering and maintenance activities as assigned.
  • Participate in energy and water conservation initiatives and suggest cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate or Diploma in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum one (1) year of relevant plumbing experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, commercial building, or facility management environment.
  • Good knowledge of water supply, drainage, sewage, and sanitary systems.
  • Hands-on experience in plumbing installation, repair, and preventive maintenance.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of related mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and service-oriented.
  • Ability to respond effectively to maintenance emergencies.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Willingness to live and work in a remote resort location.
