About Our Family
We are a busy, warm, and close-knit household of four — a hardworking single mom and three school-age boys (18, 15, 12), each with their own unique personalities, rhythms, preferences, and needs. Our home is our haven. After long, demanding days, everyone comes home needing space to decompress, reset, and feel grounded, and we are intentional about protecting that rhythm.
Our household is warm and close-knit, but also quiet and sensitive to the rhythms of the people in it, so it requires a thoughtful level of structure and awareness. We are navigating a full family schedule that includes school, work, appointments, household logistics, and health-related needs that are important to manage with calm, discretion, and care. Predictable routines, clear communication, quiet space, and sensitivity around food, fragrance, and transitions all help our home feel more peaceful and supportive.
We thrive with systems that help us stay organized and efficient without feeling rigid or over-managed. The right person will understand that the goal is not simply to complete tasks, but to help create breathing room — more ease in the day, more connection as a family, and a home environment where everyone can feel regulated, respected, and able to show up as themselves.
We also share our home with a large, lovable, and very spirited Alaskan Malamute who is equal parts affectionate and adventurous. He is a known flight risk and requires a watchful eye every time a door opens.
We are looking for someone who becomes a natural extension of the household, helping make our family vision feel possible: a smoother-running home that allows us to focus on what truly matters — quality time together, supporting each other’s passions and growth, and having our home be a grounded place to land.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
You are a highly organized, proactive, and experienced house manager who knows how to build systems that are both functional and flexible. With a sharp eye for detail, you create structure that helps a dynamic household run smoothly without adding rigidity or extra mental load.
You bring a calm, thoughtful, and friendly presence, balancing efficiency with empathy. You read the room, know when to engage and when to give space, and understand that a quieter, introverted household may need support that feels steady and unobtrusive.
Your prior household experience allows you to move confidently between big-picture planning and hands-on execution — from shared calendars and household supplies to meal prep, laundry, and family logistics. You are tech-savvy, comfortable making judgment calls, and able to communicate clearly without needing constant direction.
Above all, you have a positive, collaborative spirit and take pride in helping create a peaceful, well-organized, and nurturing home. A background in household management, personal assistance, executive assistance, or family support would be a strong asset, especially for someone who has experience supporting households with layered schedules, individualized needs, and thoughtful routines. While this is not a caregiving role, a calm, grounded comfort with medical-adjacent logistics, household accommodations, and family rhythms would be especially valuable. Most importantly, you genuinely care about the people you support and bring warmth, flexibility, discretion, and respect to your work.
