Position Summary

The

Retail Finance Controller

is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, managing budgets, and supporting strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong retail industry experience, including physical inventory management, and hands-on expertise with NetSuite and QuickBooks.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Lead inventory accounting processes and reconcile physical inventory counts.
• Develop and maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures.
• Coordinate audits and work directly with external auditors.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent accounting license.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or controllership roles.
• Proven experience working in the retail industry.
• Strong experience managing and accounting for physical inventory.
• Hands-on experience using NetSuite ERP.
• Hands-on experience using QuickBooks.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

• Experience leading accounting teams.
• Background in multi-location retail operations.
