About the role | Mō te tūranga

We are currently searching for a dedicated, enthusiastic and competent Laboratory Technician to work in our accredited Palmerston North laboratory. This is a permanent, full-time position of 80 hours per fortnight.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality laboratory services by performing core laboratory tasks that support accurate and timely testing outcomes. You’ll work closely with a skilled and supportive team, applying a solutions-focused mindset and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the laboratory.

We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to quality, ready to thrive in a fast-paced laboratory environment and make a meaningful impact on day-to-day laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine laboratory testing and sample analysis.
  • Prepare samples and operate laboratory equipment.
  • Follow laboratory protocols, safety, and quality standards.
  • Complete quality control checks and documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to support efficient workflow.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
