Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or staff. Supervises staff in the absence of manager/director. Promotes teamwork and good customer service. Assists in annual evaluations and staff discipline. Administers therapeutic radiation as ordered to facilitate accurate treatment delivery and accordance with state and federal regulations. The Lead Radiation Therapist works closely with the Radiation Oncologist and Certified Medical Physicist in planning the course of radiation therapy by performing radiation dose distribution, position and dosage calculations and constructing treatment devices.
