This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior BI Analyst / Power BI Lead | KD Pharma based in Switzerland.

Join a company-wide data transformation initiative focused on modernising BI, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across an international <organisation.As> a Senior BI Analyst, you will help shape a scalable, consistent, and well-governed analytics environment with Power BI at its <core.You> will combine hands-on development with business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and BI governance.Your work will turn complex business requirements and datasets into meaningful dashboards, semantic models, KPIs, and actionable <insights.You> will collaborate closely with data engineers, application teams, and business stakeholders as a new data platform evolves.The role offers the opportunity to influence how data is defined, managed, reported, and used across multiple business <functions.You> will also help establish stronger BI standards, improve reporting quality, and guide the organisation toward more effective and trusted analytics.

Accountabilities

  • Work directly with business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and information requirements.
  • Translate business needs into BI solutions, reporting specifications, data requirements, and actionable technical deliverables.
  • Design, develop, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and other analytical outputs.
  • Analyse and interpret complex datasets to provide insights that support business decision-making.
  • Define, maintain, and standardise reporting metrics, KPIs, and business definitions.
  • Support data transformation and data-model design for reporting and analytics.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data-quality issues in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Ensure reports and analytical outputs are accurate, consistent, reliable, and fit for purpose.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, application teams, and business users throughout the full BI delivery lifecycle.
  • Present analytical findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
  • Support the continuous improvement of reporting processes, BI governance, standards, and best practices.
  • Prioritise BI requirements and contribute to the management of the reporting and analytics backlog.
  • Provide guidance and support to other BI or data analysts when appropriate.
  • Introduce a structured change-request gate and report-certification standard across the reporting estate.
  • Identify and retire redundant reports to improve the overall reporting landscape.
  • Operationalise existing report subscriptions and status-rule scorecards that have been prototyped but not yet rolled out.

Requirements

  • Strong professional experience in Business Intelligence, reporting, data analytics, or a closely related field.
  • Advanced hands-on Power BI expertise, including DAX, Power Query, workspace and app administration, and semantic modelling.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational datasets.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, data transformations, BI architecture, and reporting best practices.
  • Proven experience gathering requirements directly from business stakeholders and translating them into technical or reporting specifications.
  • Hands-on experience developing dashboards, management reports, and analytical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to investigating complex data and business challenges.
  • Experience identifying, investigating, and resolving data-quality issues.
  • Ability to communicate complex data, insights, and recommendations clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • English proficiency at B2–C1 level.
  • Experience leading or mentoring BI or data analysts is a plus.
  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the wider Microsoft data ecosystem, including Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric, is a plus.
  • Experience working with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, or Quality data is beneficial.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, life sciences, or another highly regulated industry is advantageous.
  • Experience contributing to data-governance or reporting-governance initiatives is a plus.
