Position Description

Assist the Project Manager or Manager-in-Training with project startup activities, including updating master schedules, purchase control logs, tracking long-lead materials and equipment, and coordinating pre-bid inquiries

Assist with the review of project submittals, shop drawings, and product data as directed by the Project Manager

Assist with preparing and distributing Requests for Information (RFIs), clearly identifying and documenting project issues

Maintain and update the Project Control Log

Assist with preparing Change Order Proposals for project scope changes

Help provide field personnel with the information and documentation needed to support project activities

Assist with responding to requests and instructions from architects, engineers, and owners related to quality control and correction of deficiencies

Support project closeout activities, including punch list inspections, closeout documentation, and warranty follow-up

Perform special projects and other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Building Construction Management or a related field

Available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week

Strong interest in pursuing a career in commercial construction

Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and contribute as part of a team

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
