DevOps Engineer

• About the mission
• For a mission at one of our clients in Luxembourg, Novatraqr is looking for a medior to senior DevOps Engineer to build and operate the client's cloud platform on AWS.
• The environment is Kubernetes-centric (EKS), with event streaming on Kafka (Amazon MSK) and relational data on PostgreSQL / Aurora.
• You will automate the infrastructure with Terraform, maintain the Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines, and support the platform in production alongside the development squads.

Key responsibilities

• Build, operate and evolve Kubernetes workloads on AWS EKS: deployments, scaling, upgrades and cluster hygiene.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and changes with Terraform (infrastructure as code) across environments.
• Maintain and improve the CI/CD pipelines on Jenkins used by the development squads (build, test, deployment).
• Operate the Kafka event-streaming platform on Amazon MSK: topics, security, monitoring and capacity.
• Administer and support PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora databases: provisioning, backups, performance and reliability.
• Set up and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting; contribute to incident management and root-cause analysis.
• Advise the squads on containerization, deployment strategies and AWS best practices (cost, security, reliability).

Your profile

• Medior to senior DevOps / platform engineer (typically 3–7 years of experience), with production responsibility.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes, ideally EKS.
• Practical mastery of Terraform and Jenkins, or closely equivalent IaC and CI/CD tooling.
• Experience operating Kafka (ideally on Amazon MSK) and relational databases (PostgreSQL / Aurora).
• Comfortable supporting production systems, including participation in incident resolution.
• Team player, able to work in a Scrum squad and to communicate clearly with developers and stakeholders.
• Fluent in English; French is an asset.

Nice to have

• AWS certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with GitOps tooling (ArgoCD) and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python) and experience in regulated environments (finance, EU institutions).

How we work

• Join one of the client's cross-functional squads (product owner, developers, QA) working with the Scrum

methodology: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.

• Collaborate closely with the other squads and transversal roles (architecture, security, operations) to keep alignment across the client's platform.
• Represent Novatraqr's quality standards on site: code reviews, documentation, knowledge sharing and a professional, delivery-oriented attitude.
