Civil Rights Compliance Specialist

**This is an oncall position** The University of New Mexico’s Office of Compliance, Ethics, and Equal Opportunity (CEEO) seeks an on-call Compliance Specialist , highly experienced in conducting neutral, compliant, and efficient investigations in civil rights reports, including Title IX, Title VI, Title VII, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties and Responsibilities Determining, gathering, and analyzing evidentiary information necessary to evaluate compliance issues. Conducting unbiased investigations of allegations of civil rights discrimination and preparing investigative reports including conclusions based on findings. Creating, developing, and delivering a range of promotional, educational, and informational programs, workshops, and resource materials related to program activities and initiatives. Interpreting, analyzing, and advising on the application of EEO and Affirmative Action laws and regulations in an employment and academic setting in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines, and UNM policies and procedures. The selected candidate must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, team player, and must be able to multi-task and handle confidential material in a professional manner. CEEO is an internal compliance office that provides services to students, staff, and faculty.
