About The Role
Main Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the technical owner and subject matter expert for: Fire Alarm Systems Fire Detection Systems Wet-Pipe, Dry-Pipe, Pre-Action, and Clean Agent Fire Suppression Systems Toxic Gas Monitoring and Detection Systems Emergency Notification and Mass Communication Systems Smoke Control and Emergency Ventilation Systems Emergency Power systems supporting life safety equipment Design, review, and maintain life safety systems including: Toxic gas monitoring and detection systems Fire alarm systems Automatic sprinkler systems Clean agent suppression systems Gas detection and emergency shutdown systems Ensure systems meet NFPA, IFC, IBC, FM Global, and local AHJ requirements Ensure compliance with operational, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA, codes). Support site specific permitting and regulatory compliance Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory inspections Manage the Process Safety Management Program Facilitate risk mitigation projects Support emergency response planning and drills Develop evacuation plans and occupant safety procedures Develop and manage inspection, testing, and maintenance programs for life safety systems Manage service providers responsible for supporting life safety systems Interface with emergency responders (fire departments, mutual aid teams) Lead capital improvement and upgrade projects from start to finish. Coordinate with operations, manufacturing, R D, IT, security, and other teams.
