Vice President, Finance

In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to the President and senior leadership team, helping shape and execute the long-term business strategy for Linde Canada while providing insight into key opportunities, risks, and performance drivers You will lead the development of annual operating plans, forecasts, capital budgets, business reviews, and financial targets, ensuring strong alignment between financial results and business objectives A key focus will be monitoring business performance, analyzing trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing actionable recommendations to support informed decision-making You will provide strategic financial guidance on major business initiatives, including capital investments, growth opportunities, acquisitions, partnerships, and other high-impact projects The role involves leading financial evaluations, business case development, and scenario analysis to support decisions related to expansion, diversification, mergers and acquisitions, and operational improvements You will oversee financial reporting, accounting practices, internal controls, compliance, and governance, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and regulatory requirements Strategic leadership of the procurement function is an important responsibility, helping drive value, efficiency, and alignment across the organization You will partner closely with global Tax and Treasury teams while maintaining oversight of working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit, collections, inventory performance, and cash flow The role also provides executive oversight for the Canadian IT function, supporting digitization, data integration, and technology-enabled business improvements across the organization As a senior leader, you will build and develop a high-performing Finance team, while providing guidance to business leaders on financial policies, controls, reporting requirements, performance expectations, and overall business results
