Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer Experience 10–15 Years Location Pune Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Hardware Design Engineer with 10–15 years of experience in telecom product development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in analog and digital hardware design, power supply design, high-speed PCB design, and hardware debugging. The role involves developing new telecom products, enhancing existing products, managing component obsolescence, and driving cost optimization initiatives. Key Responsibilities · Design and develop hardware for telecom products from concept through production. · Re-engineer and enhance existing products to improve performance, reliability, and manufacturability. · Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, validation, and root cause analysis. · Design and optimize analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits. · Develop and validate power supply circuits for telecom applications. · Manage component obsolescence by identifying alternate components and redesigning hardware where required. · Drive value engineering and cost reduction initiatives without compromising product quality. · Review schematics, BOMs, and PCB layouts to ensure design quality and manufacturability. · Work closely with firmware, PCB layout, testing, manufacturing, and quality teams throughout the product development lifecycle. · Ensure compliance with telecom industry standards and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications · B.E./B.Tech., <B.Sc>., <M.Sc>., or Diploma in Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, or a related discipline. Required Skills · Strong expertise in analog and digital hardware design. · Hands-on experience in power supply design. · Experience with CPLD, FPGA, DDR3, and DSP-based hardware designs. · Good understanding of high-speed PCB design and multilayer PCB layout considerations. · Experience with circuit simulation tools such as LTspice, PSpice, or equivalent. · Knowledge of EMI/EMC design practices and compliance requirements. · Strong hardware debugging and troubleshooting skills using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other laboratory instruments. · Familiarity with component selection, derating, reliability, and lifecycle/obsolescence management. · Understanding of DFM, DFT, and product qualification processes. Preferred Skills · Experience in telecom networking equipment or communication products. · Knowledge of TEC (Telecommunication Engineering Centre) requirements and certification processes. · Exposure to Ethernet, serial communication interfaces, and high-speed digital interfaces. · Familiarity with industry standards and product compliance requirements.
