About The Role
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems for digital agriculture applications. The role involves managing complex development projects, supporting product lifecycle activities, and ensuring mechanical systems meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners to deliver robust and reliable mechanical solutions. Responsibilities / Tasks Responsible for the end-to-end execution of customer orders, from Purchase Order receipt through engineering, procurement, manufacturing, inspection, FAT, dispatch, documentation, and final customer acceptance. The Junior Project Management Engineer will be the primary coordination interface between the customer and internal functions, ensuring that orders are executed within the agreed scope, quality, cost and delivery schedule. Key Responsibilities Review customer PO, contract, quotation, specifications, drawings, datasheets and commercial requirements. Conduct internal order kick-off meetings with Engineering, Procurement, Production, Quality and other relevant teams. Establish project milestones, deliverables and execution schedule. Ensure all customer requirements are clearly communicated to the respective functions. Coordinate Electrical, Mechanical, Automation and other engineering activities for timely completion and submission of engineering deliverables Coordinate customer comments, technical queries and drawing/document approvals. Coordinate with Procurement for timely ordering of project materials. Coordinate with Production/Manufacturing for execution as per approved drawings and schedule. Monitor project progress against planned milestones. Ensure availability of materials and approved engineering documents before manufacturing. Resolve technical issues arising during fabrication, assembly, wiring, installation and integration. Coordinate internal inspection, testing activities. Plan and coordinate customer/third-party inspections and FAT. Record and track punch points / observations through to closure. Customer Coordination Act as the primary project-level contact for execution and technical matters. Provide regular project status updates to customers. Coordinate responses to customer technical queries. Manage customer comments, deviations, clarifications and change requests. Escalate issues affecting scope, cost, quality or delivery. Maintain effective customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Your Profile / Qualifications Required Skills Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Ability to prepare technical correspondence, project reports and status updates. Customer focus Project coordination, Planning and follow-up Risk identification and escalation Cross-functional coordination Ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously Experience & Qualification B.E./B. Tech in with 2–4 years of experience in one or more of the following customer Order Execution Experience in managing projects from PO receipt through engineering, manufacturing, FAT and dispatch will be preferred.
