Senior BIM Technician- MEP

1. BIM Model Development: Collaborate with the BIM Engineer to assist in the creation and development of accurate 3D models using BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks Manage.
2. Clash Detection and Resolution: Conduct clash detection analysis using BIM tools to identify potential interferences and clashes between various MEP systems and components. Collaborate with the project team to develop effective solutions for clash resolution.
3. MEP Coordination: Work closely with the MEP team to ensure smooth coordination between the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the BIM model. Ensure that the systems are properly integrated, avoiding collisions and conflicts. Report regularly to BIM Lead / BIM Coordinator on the progress of work.
4. Quantity Take-Offs: Utilize BIM tools to generate accurate quantity take-offs for MEP components and systems. Collaborate with the estimating team to provide accurate and timely information for cost estimation.
5. BIM Coordination Meetings: Participate in regular coordination meetings with the project team to discuss specific design issues, clash resolutions, and overall project progress. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to address design conflicts and to maintain consistency in the BIM model.
6. BIM Standards and Documentation: Assist in the development and implementation of standardized BIM workflows, protocols, and practices. Ensure compliance with company-specific BIM guidelines and maintain accurate documentation related to the BIM process.
7. BIM Training and Support: Assist in training new team members on BIM software, methodologies, and best practices. Provide technical assistance and support to the project team in resolving BIM-related issues.

• Have a minimum of 8 yrs experience in BIM modelling.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, or relevant field.
• Proficient in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks Manage.
• Knowledge of MEP systems and their coordination within a BIM environment.
• Familiarity with clash detection and resolution techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.
