As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering innovative automation and electrical engineering solutions for the marine industry. Working at the intersection of electrical design, automation, software configuration, and customer project execution, you will contribute to projects that support safe and efficient vessel operations worldwide. This position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in Emerson's Aperio platform while collaborating closely with customers, sales, R&D, and project teams in a global environment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Create and maintain high-quality electrical drawings and documentation using EPLAN.
- Configure and customize Emerson automation solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of automation systems, including PLC and SCADA technologies.
- Develop expertise in Emerson's Aperio marine automation platform through training and hands-on project involvement.
- Lead or coordinate customer projects from initiation through final delivery, ensuring quality, schedule, and customer satisfaction.
- Act as a primary point of contact for customers and maintain proactive communication throughout project execution.
- Coordinate activities across engineering, sales, operations, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Manage project changes, technical clarifications, and documentation updates efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare and deliver technical documentation packages and support successful customer handovers.
- Participate in testing activities, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), customer meetings, and occasional site visits as needed.
- Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a structured approach to planning, prioritization, and execution while balancing multiple project activities.

For This Role, You Will Need
- Experience creating electrical drawings and technical documentation using EPLAN.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering, automation, or industrial control systems.
- Exposure to PLCs, SCADA systems, industrial software, or automation technologies.
- Interest and willingness to develop expertise in Emerson's Aperio platform and marine automation solutions.
- Ability to coordinate activities, communicate with customers, and work effectively across teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and project deliverables.
- A customer-focused mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
- Ability to analyze technical requirements and convert them into practical engineering solutions.
- Fluent Danish and professional working proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart
- Experience leading customer projects or a strong interest in developing project leadership capabilities.
- Experience with PLC configuration, programming, or troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and industrial automation architectures.
- Familiarity with marine, offshore, industrial, or process automation environments.
- Experience conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) or customer acceptance activities.
- Understanding of technical specifications, regulatory requirements, or classification society requirements.
- Experience supporting customers in an international business environment.
- Background as an electrical technician, automation specialist, engineer, or similar technical professional.
- Experience working with change management and cross-functional project coordination.
