Assistant Setup Crew Lead

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing rear farms for the arrival of new flocks.
• Set up, position, and test farm equipment, including feeders, drinkers, brooders, barriers, and other required equipment.
• Help inspect barns and equipment to identify maintenance or setup needs.
• Assist Farm Leads and Setup Crew Leads with completing assigned farm-preparation tasks.
• Provide guidance and support to setup crew members as directed by the Setup Crew Lead.
• Load, unload, move, organize, and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Confirm that equipment is operating correctly and report damaged or malfunctioning items.
• Help maintain an accurate inventory of setup equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Follow company safety, biosecurity, sanitation, and animal-welfare procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized barns, vehicles, work areas, and storage locations.
• Complete required checklists, records, and other setup documentation.
• Communicate setup progress, equipment issues, and supply needs to the appropriate lead or supervisor.
• Travel between farm locations as needed to support setup activities.
• Perform other farm-setup and operational duties as assigned.

• Ability to handle moderate to physical work
• Must be able to complete repetitive work and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure
• Must be able to perform tasks with limited supervision
• Proven reliability in work attendance and willingness to give best effort
• Must have own reliable transportation
