What Will You Do?

As a Graphic Artist, you will create engaging graphic design assets, presentations, animations and videos for learning and business needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and use design software as well as AI-powered design tools to deliver high-quality content that meets Johnson Controls' branding, accessibility, and quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Graphic Design, Motion Design, Animation, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Digital Media, Fine Arts, Applied Arts, UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, or a related discipline.
• 5-8 years of experience in learning content development, advertising agencies, animation, video production, or multimedia content development.
• Proven experience delivering video and AI-based solutions in enterprise or large-scale environments with advanced customization.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in graphic design, animation, motion graphics, video production, and visual storytelling.

Skills

Graphic Design & Visual Communication

• Strong understanding of typography, color, layout, composition, and visual storytelling .
• Ability to create graphics, illustrations, infographics, and learning assets .
• Experience applying brand standards across digital content.
• Ability to translate learning objectives and storyboards into effective visual designs .

Motion Graphics & Multimedia Development

• Expertise in animation, motion graphics , and multimedia design .
• Experience creating videos, animated infographics, character animations, and eLearning assets .
• Knowledge of video editing, audio integration, and post-production .
• Ability to storyboard and develop animation concepts for digital learning.

AI-Enabled Design & Prompt Engineering

• Experience using AI design tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT, Runway, Kling , or similar platforms.
• Strong prompt engineering skills for image, video, animation, and content generation.
• Ability to create, refine, and optimize AI-generated outputs .
• Understanding of responsible AI practices, quality standards, and brand compliance .

Design Tools & Technology

• Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe After Effects .
• Familiarity with Vyond, Adobe Firefly, Synthesia , or similar AI image and video generation tools.
• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and other video editing tools.

Soft Skills

• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred

• Experience with GenAI tools such as Copilot for Microsoft 365 , ChatGPT, Claude, or AI-assisted development workflows.
• Experience supporting Learning & Development organizations.
