About The Role

Join Sherwin-Williams as a Finance Analyst and become part of our Nordic Finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple legal entities, collaborate with global finance teams, and contribute to accurate financial reporting, compliance, and business performance analysis. We offer flexible working arrangements, including on-site and hybrid options.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Finance Controller across Nordic legal entities, including Denmark, Norway, and Finland
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings in accordance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including submissions to US Corporate
  • Support external audits by preparing and providing required documentation
  • Contribute to financial statement reviews and statutory reporting
  • Support tax compliance activities, including corporate tax, statutory filings, and VAT reporting
  • Partner with Sherwin Business Services to ensure accurate accounting entries and reporting integrity
  • Coordinate with HR and Payroll teams to ensure accurate payroll accounting and reporting
  • Monitor compliance with local regulations, SOX requirements, and internal controls
  • Support business decision-making by providing financial insights and identifying potential risks
  • Participate in finance transformation projects, process improvements, and system optimization initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A, Supply Chain, Commercial Finance, Accounting, and Tax functions

What We Are Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
  • 2-3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, ideally within an international and/or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of Danish and Norwegian accounting principles and statutory reporting requirements
  • Audit experience is considered an advantage
  • Experience working in a global business environment is highly valued

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across different functions, cultures, and organizational levels
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and solid knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle

Languages

  • English – Fluent
  • Danish and/or another Nordic language (Norwegian or Swedish) – Fluent, written and spoken
