About The Role

Job Summary We are seeking a highly capable Medical Officer to work in the Department of Plastics The role will assist in consultation, pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care of patients within the hospital. To ensure success, medical officers should exhibit extensive clinical knowledge and demonstrable experience in a similar role. The medical officer should be interested in developing experience in Plastic Surgery. Medical Officer Responsibilities: Contributing clinical expertise to patient care and providing guidance to nursing staff. Ensuring the highest standards in patient care are maintained. Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards. Ensuring consistent and accurate medical record-keeping practices. Inpatients: Pre op, intra op, post-op op and regular reviews of patients Outpatients: Assists in preparing for clinics, consulting with patients/caregivers Operating Theatre: Assisting in operations and performing procedures under supervision. Mobile clinics: Joins teams on mobile clinics for patient triaging. Continued learning: Keeping informed on advancements in the field and contributing to medical research programs. Administration: Reporting to senior management, as well as liaising between the administrative and medical staff. Performing administrative duties Clinical Governance: Participates in Morbidity and Mortality meetings, Quality Improvement Projects and Audit Medical Officer Requirements: Bachelor's degree in medicine. Successful completion of the internship Some surgical experience is an advantage
