Robotic MIG Welder

About The Role
- Operate robotic MIG welding cells to produce welded components in accordance with engineering specifications.
- Set up and adjust robotic welding programs and welding parameters for different products and materials.
- Load and unload components into robotic welding fixtures.
- Monitor welding operations to ensure consistent weld quality and production efficiency.
- Inspect welded components for dimensional accuracy and weld quality using measuring equipment and visual inspection techniques.
- Carry out minor programming adjustments, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance on robotic welding equipment.
- Report equipment faults and coordinate with maintenance personnel when required.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and production documentation.
- Perform basic manual MIG welding repairs or touch-ups where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, production targets, and health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating robotic MIG welding systems in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of MIG welding processes and welding quality standards.
- Experience setting up robotic welding equipment and adjusting welding parameters.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Familiarity with welding fixtures, jigs, and automated production processes.
- Competent in using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and welding inspection tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Physically fit and able to work in a manufacturing environment.
