About The Role

Merchandise Planning

  • Assortment Planning: Curate and plan optimal product assortments tailored to target demographics and current trends in the beauty and cosmetics market.
  • Demand Forecasting: Utilize historical sales data and seasonal trends to accurately predict future demand.
  • Sales Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like sell-through rates, margin contributions, and fast-moving SKUs.
  • Budgeting & Open-To-Buy (OTB): Manage financial budgets, ensuring inventory investments align directly with company sales targets.

Inventory Control

  • Stock Optimization: Maintain perfect inventory levels across warehouses and retail shelves to prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
  • Replenishment Management: Streamline automatic replenishment processes based on turnover rates and lead times.
  • Shrinkage & Variance Control: Conduct regular audits, monitor stock adjustments, and resolve discrepancies in the inventory management system.
  • Critical Path Tracking: Collaborate closely with logistics and suppliers to manage purchase orders and track shipments.

Education

A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.

Experience

Typically requires 2–5+ years of relevant planning and inventory experience, ideally within beauty, luxury, or fashion retail.

Analytical Skills

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and experience with retail ERP or inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
