Job Description
- Review clean energy grant applications for eligibility and completeness
- Process payment requests and interface with applicants throughout the grant process
- Identify and categorize potential application errors and communicate them to applicants and clients
- Help develop and maintain a public-facing government data dashboard
- Analyze, collect, and organize data to support greenhouse gas, energy, and water reduction projects, benchmarking, and reporting
- Research and develop briefing materials on sustainability topics, including decarbonization and building and fleet electrification
- Provide additional data analysis and technical communications support on environmental, sustainability, and public health topics
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related field
- Minimum of one year of experience working with environmental or sustainability-related data
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools preferred
- Experience with data visualization software, such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense
- Familiarity with energy efficiency improvements, water conservation measures, and greenhouse gas emissions inventories
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including experience drafting technical reports and presenting findings
- Experience working with and managing large, complex datasets
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
- Ability to take initiative, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks
