Sr Drafter Piping

ZACHRY GROUP is seeking a talented and self-motivated Senior Piping Drafter to join our Omaha, NE office.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop plot plans, equipment layouts, flow diagrams, and P&IDs
• Create piping plans and isometrics from layouts or sketches
• Incorporate revisions based on design and checker feedback
• Translate design concepts into detailed construction drawings
• Add piping details and notes based on P&IDs
• Prepare bills of materials and tie-in lists
• Produce sections and detailed 2D annotations
• Perform valve take-offs and review drawing changes
• Support document control, revisions, and field documentation

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Associate Degree in drafting
• 4+ years of piping drafting experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of P&IDs, piping drawings, and deliverables
• Knowledge of pipe supports, components, and fittings
• Understanding of revision control and drafting standards
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and client standards
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to travel for field assignments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in power, energy, or industrial projects
• Additional drafting/design certifications
• Familiarity with multiple CAD platforms or tools
