Auto Mechanic

About The Role
The Auto Mechanic is responsible for performing inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair work on vehicles in accordance with company and manufacturer standards, ensuring high-quality workmanship, vehicle safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair and replace faulty mechanical components and parts as required.
- Perform repairs on engines, braking systems, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and other vehicle components.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and carry out effective repairs.
- Follow company policies, manufacturer standards, and technical procedures for all maintenance and repair activities.
- Complete assigned work in accordance with repair orders and technical instructions.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all repairs are completed to the required standards before vehicle release.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and the workshop in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures.
- Report any additional repair requirements or spare parts needs to the Workshop Supervisor or Manager.
- Complete assigned jobs within the required time while meeting productivity and efficiency targets.
- Participate in technical training programs and stay updated on new vehicle technologies and repair procedures.
- Work effectively as part of the workshop team to achieve operational and customer service objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, preferably within an authorized dealership or automotive service center.
- Good knowledge of modern vehicle systems and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, repair orders, and service instructions.
- Basic knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
- Valid driving license is preferred.
