Responsibilities
- Lead senior-level coverage and institutional engagement with mid-to-large Chinese corporate clients across key sectors.
- Build long-term, trusted institutional relationships by understanding clients’ genuine risk-management needs and delivering appropriate solutions across vanilla flow products and complex derivatives, without unnecessary over-structuring.
- Independently pitch structured solutions, including interest rate swaps, FX hedging, bonds, commodities, and other FICC products, tailored to clients’ liability hedging, corporate asset management, and event-driven transaction needs across both public-side and private-side activities.
- Drive internal collaboration with relevant stakeholders to deliver integrated, institutional-grade market pitches and client solutions.
- Work closely with Trading and Structuring desks to secure competitive pricing, access liquidity, and optimize execution workflows.
- Coordinate and expedite approvals for complex corporate credit lines, ISDA/CSA negotiations, and internal risk allocations for high-notional transactions.
- Maintain full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal control standards, including SFC, HKMA, SAFE, and PBOC-related requirements, and ensure cross-border transactions comply with AML, suitability, and KYC frameworks.
Pre-requisites
- At least 8–12 years of experience in global markets, preferably with a sales focus; proven experience in corporate sales is highly preferred.
- Results-driven with a strong sales mindset and solid knowledge of client onboarding, relationship management, derivatives pitching, and credit application processes.
- Strong familiarity with rates and FX products, including IRS, NDFs, and options, as well as credit bonds and macro hedging strategies.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin, with the ability to engage effectively with cross-border corporate clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze macroeconomic trends, central bank policies, and global market dynamics, with particular focus on China-related developments.
- Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, and other market data tools.
