Job Summary

At Sodexo, we believe our everyday actions have a big impact. We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Catering Service Worker & Driver to manage the end-to-end logistics of our corporate and event catering operations. You will be responsible for the safe transit of food, organizing venue setups, and maintaining a hygienic kitchen environment. This role requires independent judgment, adherence to strict timelines, and compliance with all food and physical safety protocols. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

• Transport & Logistics: Safely operate company cargo vehicles to transport food carts, hot cambros, and event equipment to client locations in variable weather conditions. Maintain driver logs and schedule maintenance as required. 
• Setup Execution: Review and execute events according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). Load and unload vehicles, position food displays in a logical, professional manner, and verify that all service ware and condiments are present. 
• Breakdown & Strike: Promptly clear and transport dirty dishes, linens, and empty equipment back to the transport vehicle at the conclusion of the event. 
• Sanitation & Kitchen Support: Perform dishwashing duties using industrial machinery, sanitize catering crates, deep clean food prep areas, and organize stock to ensure a safe, healthy workspace. 
• Compliance: Adhere strictly to Sodexo, client, and regulatory food handling and physical safety policies at all times.

• Licensing: Valid Driver’s License with a clean, verifiable driving record.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to repeatedly lift, push, and carry heavy food containers or equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs (23 kg), occasionally utilizing truck tailgate lifts.
• Experience: 0–1 years of experience in catering deliveries, banquet support, or kitchen operations is preferred.
• Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work variable event-driven shifts, which may include early mornings, late nights, or weekends.
• Core Competencies: Punctual, detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to complete tasks independently under strict timelines.
• Smart Serve/Food Handling certificates an asset
