Elevator Mechanic

Job Responsibilities: Assemble, install, and maintain elevators, escalators, moving walkways, and lift equipment according to safety specifications. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic malfunctions using testing devices. Perform routine preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and quality control tests to ensure compliance with industry regulations. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals to execute complex repairs. Respond to emergency service calls to resolve equipment failures and passenger entrapments safely and efficiently. Job Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Elevator Mechanic Apprenticeship program is highly preferred. Certification: Valid state Elevator Mechanic License or equivalent professional certification. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in elevator installation, maintenance, and repair. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in reading electrical schematics, troubleshooting circuitry, and using diagnostic tools. Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and lift heavy equipment up to 50 lbs.
