Manager Global Vehicle Procurement

Your mission

  • You will primarily be responsible for negotiating directly with vehicle manufacturers (OEMs) to deliver value to our internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will continuously update your deep and wide knowledge of the Global automotive industry, which will continue to be under major transformation.
  • You will use your automotive knowledge to not only adapt your negotiation strategies but to also advise customers and internal stakeholders to maximise value capture.
  • This role is much wider than just Vehicle procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead central OEM negotiations to ensure that objectives and targets are met
  • Provide guidance to countries and support problem solving in escalated issues related to Vehicle Procurement and OEM related topics
  • Central point of contact and knowledge for a portfolio of OEMs and coordinates with all relevant Internal Stakeholders such as Remarketing, Finance, Commercial
  • Ensure all volume and financial targets are achieved within agreed timescale
  • Source, negotiate, select and sign annual framework agreements with suppliers
  • Provide in-depth expertise and maintain up-to-date knowledge related to suppliers (OEMs and Dealers), markets and trends
  • Manage the contracts and monitor the execution of bonus & discount agreements
  • Establish and manage and continuously develop relationship with suppliers
  • Liaise with internal business partners of the value streams to understand needs and to translate this to strategies and projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Professional qualification in procurement, business or law would be an advantage
  • 5+ years of National / International Automotive experience (ideally sales or procurement)
  • Experience with supplier relationship management, process implementation
  • Fluent in English language
  • Flexible to travel
