The Opportunity At Alera Group, our Employee Benefits team helps organizations attract, retain, and support their employees through innovative benefits solutions. As a Sr. Account Executive , you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional client service, building trusted relationships, and helping clients navigate the complexities of employee benefits. Responsibilities Serve as the primary strategic advisor for assigned clients, leading executive-level conversations around benefits strategy, workforce initiatives, total rewards, and cost management Drive client retention, revenue growth, and profitability by identifying opportunities to expand services, strengthen relationships, and deliver measurable value Lead renewal strategy development including funding analysis, plan design recommendations, vendor evaluations, and implementation planning Partner with Account Managers, Sales Consultants, and service teams to deliver a coordinated client experience while providing leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction Maintain market expertise and represent Alera Group through client interactions, networking activities, business development opportunities, and thought leadership initiatives Qualifications Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in employee benefits consulting, brokerage, account management, or a related field Active Life & Health Insurance License required Strong executive presence with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior business leaders Demonstrated success managing client retention, revenue growth, and strategic client relationships Strong consultative, analytical, communication, and presentation skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and employee benefits technology platforms Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience working with mid-market, large market, or enterprise employee benefits clients Knowledge of funding arrangements, pharmacy benefit management, compliance requirements, and population health strategies Professional designations such as CEBS, RHU, REBC, GBA, CBP, CHRS, or similar Experience mentoring team members and leading cross-functional service teams Compensation Salary Range: $XX,XXX–$XX,XXX annually Bonus Eligible: [Yes / No] Benefits Eligible colleagues enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life and disability coverage 401(k) Generous paid time off Professional development and career growth opportunities Benefits and EEO Language Work Arrangement This position is [Remote / Hybrid / In-Office] .
