Freelance Lead Auditor - 45001 / SCC

Job Description – Lead Auditor (ISO 45001 / SCC) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Lead Auditor for freelance, project-based engagements focused on occupational health and safety compliance audits. This role involves conducting scheduled audit activities across infrastructure and industrial projects in Croatia . The position offers flexibility with call-based collaboration aligned to our audit planning calendar. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive audits against ISO 45001 and/or SCC (Safety Certificate Contractors) standards Lead audit teams through planning, execution, and reporting phases Assess compliance with occupational health and safety management systems Document findings with detailed audit reports, non-conformities, and corrective action recommendations Communicate results clearly to project management and client stakeholders Maintain audit documentation and ensure traceability of all audit activities Provide technical guidance on OHS best practices and regulatory requirements Support continuous improvement initiatives based on audit outcomes Required Qualifications Mandatory ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification (valid and current) – AND/OR SCC (Safety Certificate Contractors) Certification Fluency in English (written and verbal); Preferred Qualifications Multiple audit certifications (ISO 45001 + SCC combination preferred) Experience with OHSAS 18001 legacy systems Knowledge of ISO 14001 (environmental management) or ISO 9001 (quality management) Engagement Details Contract Type: Freelance / Project-Based Availability: Call-based, scheduled according to audit planning calendar Location: Croatia (on-site audit activities) Duration: Ongoing, flexible engagements Travel: Willingness to travel within Croatia as required
