As a Lead Buyer, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we source, distribute and manage our motor supply network—spanning automotive parts, repair services, logistics, and end-to-end supplier performance. Working at the heart of our supply chain, you’ll balance commercial rigour with strong relationships, helping ensure repairs are completed efficiently, compliantly, and to a high standard. This is a role for someone who enjoys negotiating, analysing, and improving how things work, while being part of a team that believes collaboration and fairness lead to better results. This is a permanent full-time role based in multiple locations across Aotearoa New Zealand. Ngā Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Māu | What You'll Do • Negotiate commercial, pricing, rebate and service arrangements that deliver sustainable value and positive outcomes for IAG customers and partners. • Build trust and effective relationships across a broad portfolio of industry stakeholders, including repairers, OEMs, dealers, dismantlers, importers, freight providers and stock providers • Work collaboratively with industry and internal stakeholders to identify and deliver practical improvements across the motor parts supply network • Manage and support operational requirements, helping translate commercial arrangements into practical and effective delivery • Develop, implement and manage performance frameworks that provide clear visibility of commercial, service and operational outcomes • Leverage data, market insights and industry knowledge to identify opportunities, support negotiations, and provide clear, credible recommendations that influence operational and senior stakeholder decision-making • Lead sourcing, commercial and continuous-improvement activities across an evolving portfolio of parts, services and supply-chain solutions Ōu Pūkenga me ōu Wheako | What You'll Bring • Proven experience in procurement, commercial management, supplier performance, or a related discipline • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with a track record of delivering sustainable business outcomes • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders across a diverse range of internal and external partners • Experience managing supplier performance, governance frameworks, contracts, and continuous improvement initiatives • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data and insights into actionable recommendations • A practical, adaptable and ethical approach, underpinned by a commitment to compliance, safety and doing the right thing.
