About The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the fleet by adding, maintaining, and updating data in the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) to ensure that all information related to maintenance jobs, equipment, and spare parts is accurate, consistent, and aligned with company standards. You will review and process data change requests from both ships and shore-based technical departments, extract and input technical information from manuals and drawings, and help maintain high-quality equipment and spare part records. By ensuring the integrity and reliability of maintenance data, you will contribute directly to the safe and efficient operation of our vessels across the fleet.

What you will be doing

As a Maintenance Support Analyst , you will work closely with ships’ staff and shore-based technical departments to ensure that all data in the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) is accurate, complete, and compliant with company standards. Your daily activities will include reviewing and processing PMS data change requests received by email, updating equipment records, and maintaining spare parts information in line with the Master Equipment List and other internal data standards. You will regularly consult equipment parts manuals, drawings, and maintenance or operator manuals to interpret technical information and convert it into clear, structured database entries and job instructions. In addition, you will support fleet-wide or class-specific PMS updates, ensuring that changes are correctly implemented and consistently applied. You will also participate in projects aimed at optimizing the PMS, contributing ideas and executing tasks that improve data quality and system efficiency. In this collaborative, team-oriented environment, you will use MS Office applications and the PMS platform daily, while working independently or with minimal supervision to prioritize and execute your tasks effectively.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement any type of PMS data change requests to a ship, class or whole fleet.
  • Review and process data change requests sent by email by the ship and shore technical departments.
  • Manage quality of data input in the system according to company’s current procedures and data standards e.g. Master Equipment List.
  • Capability to review equipment parts manuals and drawings in order to extract spare parts and enter in the database.
  • Interpret maintenance and operator manuals in order to extract relevant data for job instructions/schemes.
  • Update all relevant equipment data fields.
  • Create spare part databases for new equipment Maker & Model.
  • Execute projects related to optimization of the Planned Maintenance System.

Qualifications

  • Strongly preferred BS Computer Science / Information Technology or related course
  • Good knowledge of Planned Maintenance Systems is preferred
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Good interpersonal skills / able to work in a team
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) in the English language
