About The Role
We are looking for a Procurement Assistant to join our team to assist with vendor life cycle, onboarding, contracting, performance monitoring, relationship building and contract renewals. Additional responsibilities include the following: Work closely with the projects team to understand details of strategic procurement requirements including sourcing, pre-qualification, etc. Initiate and renew contracts including framework agreements, service line agreements, etc., negotiate pricing, terms, and provisions Engage, educate, and influence indirect and direct vendors to align to GHDs Environmental, Sustainable and Governance (ESG) commitments Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with internal and external partners Measure and monitor vendor performance and compliance with agreements, contracts, conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews and provide feedback to team on gaps, and business opportunities Build industry, vendor, category, business unit, etc. specific reports, analyze data, and report on gaps and opportunities to the team including vendor segmentation Assist in growing GHD’s supplier diversity program Perform all responsibilities within GHD Procurement Guidelines and ensure relevant processes and procedures are followed Our Hybrid Work Model: Be part of the dynamic culture! What you’ll bring to the team: 2+ years of strategic procurement experience including data analysis, sourcing, vendor management, and contract management High proficiency with data management and analysis tools such as SQL, Power BI, Excel (intermediate to expert) Strong communication skills and problem-solving skills Excellent English verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize and multitask Proactive attitude towards work, teamwork, and cooperation English Proficiency Previous experience with Salesforce is considered an asset Degree or certification in business administration, procurement, finance, or related field preferred
