WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Based out of our Walker, MI facility, the Material, the person in this position would assist pulling and preparing customer orders, performing final quality checks, and ensuring timely delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Unloading incoming freight, verifying product against enclosed packing lists, sorting material by end destination and putting away excess stock
Assist in pulling slabs and sort for production
Accounts for and sorts incoming deliveries and stages them appropriately
Assist Production Manager in facilitating parts from the shop to the appropriate branch/division
Assists in keeping shop and supplies in stock
Assists the rest of the shop team in terms of shop cleanliness and maintenance
Assists other shop members with moving tops and basic shop work flow

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma/GED required
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Displays a positive “can do” attitude.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and job folder detail
- Ability to read a tape measure and understand dimensions
- Ability to effectively work and communicate with fellow employee owners
Self-starter
- Dependable and reliable
- Desire to “do things right the first time”
- Openness and desire to learn new skills
- Ability to work safely and efficiently at all times
- Ability to work neatly and maintain a clean and safe work area
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to operate a Hilo (training available)
- Ability to do physical labor including lifting of up to 100+ lbs.
