RETAIL SALES ASSISTANT

• Sandy Lane Hotel, a AAA Five Diamond exclusive resort and member of Leading Hotels of the World, is
• seeking to recruit a Retail Assistant for its Collection and Pro Shop retail outlets.

The Role

To assist with providing excellent customer service to external and internal customers.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

• Regularly monitors inventory levels to ensure all products are adequately stocked and available for sale.
• Prepares invoices and receipts and accurately processes payments for customer purchases.
• Supports the Retail Manager with inventory control and stock management activities.
• Opens and closes the retail store in accordance with directives from the Retail Manager.
• Maintains an accurate Customer Request Log and promptly communicates relevant information to the Retail Manager.
• Ensures all merchandise is attractively displayed and presented in line with established standards.
• Keeps the back-of-house storage area clean, organized, and well maintained.
• Monitors sales displays and updates them as required to enhance product visibility.
• Performs various administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
• Actively promotes and up-sells merchandise to maximize sales and profitability.
• Provides excellent customer service by assisting guests with product selection and offering informed recommendations.
• Coordinates golfer start times, manages check-ins, and collects green fees and other applicable golf-related charges.

• Previous experience in a customer service role.
• A good secondary school education with CXC passes specifically in English and Mathematics.
• A positive and cheerful attitude as well as strong verbal communication skills.
• A passion for meeting and greeting the customer’s and executing company’s objectives.
• Commercial drive and awareness with the ability to identify potential sales opportunities.
• Patience and the ability to listen and understand a customer's request.
• The ability to solve minor challenges quickly and effectively.
