About The Role

The Sales Director & Site Leader, Korea is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for the full P&L and strategic direction of Duracell's business in South Korea. The GM will lead a cross-functional local team, manage key retail and distributor partnerships, and serve as the primary interface between the Korea market and Duracell's regional and global leadership. This role is critical to driving sustainable growth, brand equity, and operational excellence in one of Asia-Pacific's most dynamic consumer markets.

Strategy & P&L Ownership

  • Own the Korea P&L, including net revenue, gross margin, and operating income targets.
  • Develop and execute a multi-year growth strategy aligned with Duracell's APAC priorities.
  • Identify new market opportunities, channels, and partnerships to accelerate market share.

Commercial & Customer Management

  • Lead relationships with top retail accounts, e-commerce platforms, and distribution partners.
  • Drive joint business planning and execution with key customers to deliver category leadership.
  • Oversee pricing strategy, trade investment, and promotional planning.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing, cross-functional Korea team (sales, marketing, finance, operations).
  • Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with HR on talent review, planning, performance management, and succession.

Operations & Supply Chain

  • Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure product availability and service levels.
  • Manage local demand forecasting and inventory planning.
  • Ensure full compliance with local regulatory and legal requirements.

Stakeholder & Regional Engagement

  • Represent Duracell Korea with regional leadership, providing regular business updates and market insights.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with APAC centers of excellence (marketing, finance, HR, IT).
  • Manage government and industry relations where relevant.

Required

  • 15-20 years’ experience in building brands in South Korea, with 10+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience in FMCG, consumer electronics, or related industries and Demonstrated results in delivering a sustainable and growing business
  • Proven track record of P&L ownership and delivery of revenue and margin targets.
  • Deep understanding of the Korean retail landscape, including modern trade, e-commerce, and key accounts.
  • Sales background and experience in managing Impulse driven brands or categories
  • Demonstrates agility and ability to analyze situations and adjust approach in order to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Combines strategic thinking and business analysis with ability to make quick decisions based on best available facts.
  • Is able to strike an effective balance between long-term strategy and short-term business results
  • Inspires others to achieve the Company goals
  • Demonstrates good judgement and a strong and independent point of view presented in a courageous, clear and concise way.
  • Encourages innovation and constantly questions the status quo; breaks down barriers in order to achieve goals

  • Fluency in Korean and English (written and spoken).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a global FMCG matrix organization.
  • Prior experience as a Country Manager or Site Leader in a multinational company.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Familiarity with Duracell's product portfolio or the battery/portable power category.
