Retail Shop Supervisor

We are looking for an energetic, hands-on, and motivated Retail Shop Supervisor who can lead by example, inspire teams, and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our outlet operations. 📍 Full-Time Position ABOUT THE ROLE As a Retail Shop Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring excellent customer service standards, maintaining strong team performance, and supporting sales growth across all departments. You will work closely with management and staff to create a positive shopping experience for clients while ensuring the outlet remains organised, fully stocked, visually appealing, and operationally efficient. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES ✔ Supervise and coordinate the daily workflow of the retail outlet ✔ Lead, motivate, coach, and support sales assistants, cashiers, and customer care staff ✔ Ensure customers receive professional, friendly, and efficient service at all times ✔ Assist clients personally with product queries and guide them through departments when needed ✔ Monitor stock levels and ensure shelves and displays are replenished and maintained properly ✔ Ensure the outlet is clean, organised, safe, and visually attractive throughout the day ✔ Work on store merchandising and displays to promote products and seasonal campaigns ✔ Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally and efficiently ✔ Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing support, coaching, and feedback ✔ Coordinate staff movement and prioritise workloads according to business needs ✔ Assist in planning staff schedules and ensuring adequate floor coverage ✔ Report operational updates, sales feedback, and performance observations to management ✔ Identify trends, customer preferences, and opportunities to improve sales and service ✔ Ensure health & safety procedures and company standards are followed consistently THE IDEAL CANDIDATE ✅ Has previous experience in retail supervision, team leadership, or store operations ✅ Possesses strong leadership and communication skills ✅ Is highly organised, proactive, and solution-oriented ✅ Enjoys working with people and delivering excellent customer service ✅ Can motivate teams and work effectively under pressure ✅ Is flexible and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment ✅ Has a positive attitude and a hands-on approach to work WHAT WE OFFER ✨ Opportunity to grow within a well-established retail company ✨ Dynamic and supportive working environment ✨ Ongoing exposure to retail operations and team leadership Become part of the Homemate team and help us continue creating outstanding shopping experiences for our customers across Malta!
