**About the role**
This role will be providing key packaging services to number of our managed service customers. As part of a broader team, you will be responding to contracted and project requests.
_**Please note that this role is based in Wellington and is open exclusively to New Zealand citizens who are eligible to obtain New Zealand Top Secret Security (TSV) clearance.**_
**What you will do**
As an **Applications Packager** you will
- Lead the end-to-end packaging, repackaging, testing, and deployment of applications across BAU activities and project initiatives.
- Manage application lifecycle activities including discovery, analysis, packaging, troubleshooting, deployment support, and ongoing optimisation.
- Collaborate with project teams, customers, and stakeholders to plan, scope, and successfully deliver application-related projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Produce and maintain operational documentation, standards, and knowledge resources to support service delivery and smooth transition to BAU support teams.
- Analyse and resolve application packaging and deployment issues, ensuring minimal disruption and high service quality.
- Utilise enterprise tools, frameworks, and ITIL-aligned processes to deliver reliable, compliant, and high-quality application services.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance performance, increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer outcomes.
- Maintain strong customer relationships through responsive communication, professional engagement, and proactive follow-up on actions and deliverables.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities, bid responses, solution design, proof-of-concept initiatives, and project scoping efforts.
- Ensure governance, reporting, forecasting, time management, and project administration activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Build effective working relationships across teams and act as a trusted advisor to customers, colleagues, and third-party stakeholders.
- Mentor and support less experienced team members, sharing knowledge and promoting continuous capability growth across the organisation.
- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and initiative in identifying and resolving issues while contributing to a high-performing team culture.
- Support after-hours project and operational activities when required to meet customer and business commitments.
- Maintain professional development through ongoing learning, industry certifications, and contribution to team capability improvement initiatives.
**What you’ll bring:**
You will have 5 years’ IT industry experience, preferably within an IT managed service provider, with approximately 3 years’ experience in a similar Application Packaging role. You will have exceptional knowledge of packaging tools, InstallShield, Master Packager etc. You will possess exceptional knowledge of Windows 10, 11 and MacOS operating systems. You will have knowledgeable skills in endpoint management platforms, System Centre Configuration Manager, Intune, VMware Workspace ONE and Jamf.
You will bring exceptional troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and prioritisation skills; and will be comfortable and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision. You will be comfortable with rapid change and be available to travel to Datacom, customer sites and conferences when required.
