Principal Design Consultant Company: HomeLane Experience: 3+ Years or 4+ Years Industry: Interior Design / Residential Projects Role Overview : We are looking for an experienced and visionary Principal Designer to lead high-value residential design projects at HomeLane. This role goes beyond project execution — it requires design leadership, client strategy, revenue ownership, and mentorship of junior designers. As a Principal Designer, you will manage premium customers end-to-end — from consultation and concept development to order booking and production alignment — ensuring exceptional design quality, commercial success, and superior customer satisfaction. This role demands strong design expertise, site and execution knowledge, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to handle complex, high-ticket projects independently. Key Responsibilities: ● Own and lead a portfolio of high-value HomeLane customers from first consultation through order booking and final design sign-off. ● Translate client requirements into innovative, functional, and premium design solutions aligned with budget and feasibility. ● Drive revenue by confidently presenting, influencing, and closing design proposals. ● Create accurate quotations, detailed concepts, and production-ready drawings for manufacturing. ● Ensure designs are technically sound and installation-friendly with minimal site escalations. ● Proactively identify and resolve client concerns and execution challenges. ● Coordinate closely with production, operations, and installation teams for seamless delivery. ● Mentor and guide junior designers, ensuring design excellence and best practices. ● Contribute to process improvements and uphold HomeLane’s design and quality standards. Required Expertise & Qualifications ● 3+ Years or 4+ Years year Degree in Interior Designing or Architecture from a reputed institution. ● Strong hands-on site experience with deep understanding of installation feasibility and execution challenges. ● Proven experience handling premium residential interior projects. ● Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive conversions and manage high-value customers. ● Proficiency in Google SketchUp (mandatory); working knowledge of rendering tools such as Enscape or V-Ray will be an added advantage. ● Strong knowledge of space planning, modular furniture systems, materials, and production processes. ● Highly customer-centric mindset with the ability to balance design, functionality, timelines, and budget. ● Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. ● Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of the local language is an added advantage.
