Evergreen Gas Heating & Cooling is hiring an experienced Lead HVAC/Hearth Service Technician to join our team immediately.
We're looking for a highly skilled, customer-focused technician who can confidently diagnose, service and repair residential HVAC and hearth/fireplace systems, take ownership of service calls, and serve as a technical resource and leader for the service team.
This is an opportunity for an experienced technician who is ready to take the next step in their career. The Lead Technician will remain hands-on in the field while also helping support technicians, maintain service standards, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to the continued success of the service department.

What You'll Do
As a Lead HVAC/Hearth Service Technician, you will
- Diagnose, service, repair and maintain residential HVAC and hearth systems
- Troubleshoot complex heating, cooling and hearth/fireplace issues and determine effective repair solutions
- Service furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioning systems, thermostats, ventilation equipment and related comfort systems
- Service and troubleshoot residential fireplaces, inserts, stoves and other hearth products
- Perform preventative maintenance, system inspections and tune-ups
- Respond to service calls and emergency repair requests in a timely and professional manner
- Provide technical guidance and support to other service technicians when needed
- Help troubleshoot difficult or escalated HVAC and hearth service calls
- Share knowledge, best practices and technical expertise with less-experienced technicians
- Help maintain high standards for workmanship, safety, documentation and customer service
- Communicate repair recommendations and options clearly with homeowners
- Ensure parts, tools and materials are properly stocked and accounted for
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Follow company safety policies, industry standards and applicable HVAC and hearth regulations
- Stay current on HVAC, hearth and fireplace technology, equipment and industry advancements
- Partner with management and other departments to support a positive customer and employee experience
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- 5+ years of residential HVAC service and troubleshooting experience preferred
- Hearth/fireplace service experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems
- Experience servicing or troubleshooting fireplaces, inserts, stoves or other hearth products is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience mentoring, training or supporting other technicians preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
