This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level Product Data Scientist to help shape data-informed product decisions within a leading health technology <environment.You>’ll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and data stakeholders to uncover insights and define meaningful product metrics.A major focus of the role will be designing, evaluating, and improving A/B tests that influence product strategy and user <experiences.You>’ll serve as a trusted statistics partner, translating complex analytical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.The role combines hands-on SQL and Python work with strong stakeholder engagement and product <thinking.You>’ll join an experienced Product Data Science team where collaboration, mentorship, and continuous improvement are highly valued.During your first months, you’ll take ownership of a product area, contribute to experiments, and help evolve team processes.

Accountabilities

  • Conduct product analysis and answer insightful, ad hoc questions from stakeholders across the Product organization.
  • Build a strong understanding of product functionality and underlying data models to ensure analyses are accurate and actionable.
  • Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to define meaningful metrics for new initiatives and product improvements.
  • Support experiment design alongside Product Managers, applying statistical expertise to establish effective testing approaches.
  • Explain concepts such as statistical power and sample size clearly to non-statistical stakeholders.
  • Analyze A/B test results, assess statistical significance, and identify common experimentation pitfalls, including risks of p-hacking.
  • Ramp up on a specific product area and become a trusted analytical partner for its stakeholders.
  • Design and support an experiment through launch and analysis, with mentorship from an experienced Product Data Scientist.
  • Provide feedback on team processes and proactively identify opportunities to improve or introduce new ways of working.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in a product-focused environment.
  • Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of data modeling concepts.
  • Proficiency in Python, ideally with hands-on experience using data science and analysis libraries such as Pandas and statistical packages.
  • Strong data storytelling and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to explain technical and statistical concepts in intuitive, accessible language.
  • Strong attention to detail, including the ability to sense-check analytical outputs and identify errors before communicating results.
  • Good product sense and familiarity with fundamental product metrics such as DAU, retention, and engagement.
  • General understanding of machine learning concepts, including model development and evaluation.
  • Comfortable collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and business stakeholders.
  • Fluent English is essential, as the role involves daily collaboration with global teams.
  • A growth mindset, adaptability, curiosity, and willingness to learn are highly valued, even if you do not meet every technical requirement.
