About the TeamThe Compliance team at Paxos plays a vital role in ensuring the company adheres to global regulatory standards across financial products and services. This team tackles complex challenges such as AML, sanctions, and transaction monitoring, all while ensuring a robust compliance framework in a rapidly evolving crypto and fintech landscape. By safeguarding Paxos against regulatory risks, the team is essential in helping the company achieve its mission of creating a more transparent and efficient financial ecosystem.The OpportunityThe Compliance Investigations Manager will lead the execution of core compliance objectives, including financial crime investigations and regulatory reporting. In addition to operational leadership, the Compliance Investigations Manager will play a key role in driving strategic compliance initiatives aimed at strengthening Paxos’ financial crime prevention framework. This includes contributing to the design and execution of long-term compliance strategies, enhancing investigative processes through automation and analytics, and ensuring the program evolves in step with regulatory expectations and business innovation.What You'll DoOversee implementation of operational objectives of the Compliance Investigations programScale the compliance operations investigations team to support business growth in line with sustainable risk management and compliance supportManage and develop key metrics to determine the health of the compliance investigations programOversee end-to-end investigations on a range of cases triggered from KYC/CDD, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring and blockchain analytics.Lead a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth within Compliance OperationsEvaluate ongoing technology utilized in the investigations process including but not limited to automationBe a senior member of the Compliance team where you help to guide and provide support to the other workstreamsAbout You6+ years of experience in Transaction Monitoring and Investigations operations processes including hands on experience executing investigations and drafting suspicious activity reports4+ years of financial crime compliance team management experienceA fundamental understanding of AML, KYC and Sanctions regulationsStrong writing capabilities where deliverables are to be reviewed by regulators, auditors and law enforcementExperience managing operational data sets including reporting KPIs/KRIs to leadershipExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionallyAbility to develop and implement process improvements based on business initiatives and compliance insights.Important Notice for Paxos ApplicantsFraudulent accounts sometimes pose as Paxos recruiters on LinkedIn and other platforms, and fake websites sometimes impersonate our careers site.
