About The Role

Duties

  • (a) To vet and process applications for financial assistance schemes and the related documents;
  • (b) To handle public enquiries and complaints in relation to the financial assistance schemes;
  • (c) To provide counter service;
  • (d) To assist in promoting the financial assistance schemes (including outdoor promotional activities);
  • (e) To handle general clerical duties; and
  • (f) To perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Entry Requirements

Candidates should have –

(1) attained five subjects at Level 2 / Grade E or above in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) / Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) [see Note 1] (including Chinese Language, English Language [see Note 2] and Mathematics), or equivalent;

(2) at least two years of full-time working experience in administration work. Working experience in Government sectors / public organisations would be an advantage;

(3) good command of both oral and written English and Chinese; and

(4) good computer knowledge (e.g. MS Word and Excel).

Pay

HK$17,530 per month

Terms of Appointment

A successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms up to 12 months. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service needs of this Agency and the performance of the candidate.

Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions / Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. Applicants should submit scanned copies of their diplomas / certificates, official transcripts of studies and official documents stating the mode of delivery (e.g. full time / part time, on campus / distance learning, etc.) of the study programmes by email to <[email hidden]> on or before 16 September 2026. Please state “Application for the post of General Clerk” and the online application number in the subject line of the email. Acknowledgement receipt will be sent via e-mail upon receipt of the copy of supporting document(s) on or before 23 September 2026. To facilitate the assessment of qualifications, the above documents on the prior qualifications obtained should also be submitted as far as possible. If applicants fail to provide the supporting documents, their applications will not be considered. Please do not send any original copy of the diplomas / certificates or other qualification documents. Copies of local qualification documents and proof of working experience are not required at this stage of application.

Applicants who are not invited for interview within ten weeks from the closing date may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
