About the role
We are looking for an experienced Media Coordinator with a strong background in sports broadcasting to lead our production content creation in Mexico. This is a newly created position that will play a pivotal role in shaping our content strategy, managing production efforts, and developing new shows that resonate with sports audiences across Mexico. The Media Coordinator will need to demonstrate exceptional leadership, creativity, and organisational skills while ensuring the highest production standards are met.
What you’ll be doing
- Build and manage a Media team composed of presenters, reporters, producers, and technical staff to manage our content strategy for the Mexican market
- Lead and manage production teams, ensuring seamless delivery of live and recorded shows
- Design, plan, and oversee new sports programming formats, from concept to execution
- Collaborate with editorial, technical, and production departments to ensure content quality and consistency
- Manage workflows, schedules, and resources for weekend broadcasts
- Provide creative direction for sports shows, features, and special events
- Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a high-performance culture within the team
- Ensure compliance with editorial standards and broadcasting regulations
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of experience in sports media, broadcasting, or television production
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent command of Spanish and English, both written and spoken
- Proven knowledge of the Mexican sports media industry
- Demonstrated ability to create and launch engaging sports programming
- Strong organisational and project management abilities
- Ability to perform under pressure in live broadcast environments
Even better if
- Previous experience building production teams from the ground up
- Strong network within the sports media industry
- Knowledge of the Mexican sports markets and audience preferences
- Experience with digital content strategies alongside broadcast
- Experience with green screens and virtual sets
Tech Stack / Role Preferred Specific Tools
- Broadcast production systems and scheduling software.
- Non-linear editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro)
- Basic understanding of newsroom systems (e.g., ENPS, iNews)
- Understanding of virtual set implementation on Chroma Key with Aximmetry and Unreal Engine
- Familiarity with live broadcast equipment (e.g., LiveU, vMIX, Blackmagic design, studio control systems)
