Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise-level database systems. The Senior DBA will be responsible for ensuring database performance, security, availability, and scalability while supporting application teams and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Database Management & Performance

• Design, install, configure, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.)

• Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and schemas
• -
• Perform capacity planning and database tuning to ensure high availability and scalability
• Backup, Recovery & High Availability
• -
• Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies
• -
• Configure replication, clustering, and failover mechanisms
• -
• Test and document disaster recovery procedures regularly
• Security & Compliance
• -
• Implement database security policies and access controls
• -
• Monitor for vulnerabilities and apply patches and updates
• -
• Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory standards
• Automation & DevOps
• -
• Automate database deployments and maintenance using scripts and CI/CD pipelines
• -
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL)

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve database infrastructure
• Support & Collaboration
• -
• Work with developers to optimize database queries and schema design
• -
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis
• -
• Mentor junior DBAs and provide technical guidance
