Build practical permitting knowledge while researching jurisdictional requirements, organizing permit applications, and supporting land development projects through review and approval.About the RoleBohler's Melville, NY office, serving projects throughout the outer New York City metropolitan area, is seeking a curious and organized Permitting Intern. You will work alongside permitting, design, and project professionals to support active applications and learn how requirements, documentation, agency reviews, and project communication come together throughout the approval process.What You'll DoLearn the stages of the permitting process and how applications progress through jurisdictional review and approval.Assist with organizing permit applications, fee information, signatures, plan sets, and supporting <documentation.Help> track application status, deadlines, agency comments, inspections, and project milestones.Research jurisdictional filing requirements with guidance from the permitting team.Gather information from permitting, design, and project team members to support active <applications.Help> maintain organized agency information and electronic and paper project records.What You'll GainExposure to active permit applications and jurisdictional approval processes.An understanding of how permitting supports the land development lifecycle.Experience collaborating with permitting professionals, designers, engineers, and project teams.Opportunities to strengthen research, organization, communication, and project tracking skills.Guidance and feedback focused on your internship goals and professional development.What You'll BringHigh School Diploma or GED required; current enrollment in an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree program in a field related to the work preferred.Interest in permitting, land development, construction, planning, real estate development, or project coordination.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Clear written and verbal communication skills.Organization, attention to detail, curiosity, and a willingness to learn as part of a team.Start building the experience, relationships, and permitting knowledge that can launch your career at Bohler.#LI-Onsite
