Job Description About the RoleThis is a dual-role position. The primary responsibility of this role is Pricing & Reimbursement (P&R) Lead, with an additional responsibility in New Product Planning, NPP. The role is primarily responsible for leading Pricing & Reimbursement (P&R) strategy for AstraZeneca Korea — with a particular focus on Rare Disease — while additionally supporting New Product Planning to enable accelerated market access across the broader AstraZeneca pipeline.The role requires close collaboration with Medical Affairs, Global Early Commercial, Global R&D, and Insights & Analytics, bridging clinical development, health economics, and commercialization planning to ensure both near-term reimbursement success and long-term pipeline readiness.Key ResponsibilitiesPRIMARY ROLE: Pricing & Reimbursement Lead P&R Strategy Development & ExecutionLead the development and execution of comprehensive Pricing & Reimbursement strategies for AstraZeneca Korea's portfolio, with primary focus on Rare Disease assetsDevelop high-quality P&R dossiers, including health economic analyses (HEOR), budget impact models, and value demonstration frameworks aligned with Korea's reimbursement requirementsDefine and execute pricing strategies that maximize product value while ensuring sustainable, long-term market accessPayer Engagement & NegotiationLead and support price negotiation strategies with Korean payer authorities including HIRA (Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service) and NHIS (National Health Insurance Service)Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key payer stakeholders to secure optimal reimbursement outcomesCoordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on payer engagement strategy and messagingPolicy Monitoring & Value ProtectionProactively monitor changes in Korean pricing regulations, reimbursement policies, and healthcare policy landscapeDevelop mitigation strategies to minimize pricing erosion and protect long-term product valueProvide actionable recommendations to Market Access Director and internal leadership on policy developments and their commercial implicationsHTA Strategy & HEOR LeadershipLead HTA (Health Technology Assessment) strategy development, including coordination of health economic model development with internal and external HEOR expertsEnsure P&R strategies are grounded in robust evidence and aligned with global value narratives while adapted for local Korean contextSECONDARY ROLE: New Product Planning, NPP (Early Asset Strategy)Early Asset Strategy RepresentationRepresent Corporate Strategy Early Asset on the New Product Planning Team, serving as the key interface between the Korea MC, Global Early Commercial, Global R&D, and Global SMMUnder the direction of the New Product Planning Lead, translate integrated Early Asset strategies into operational plans with clear deliverables and timelinesAccess Landscape Assessment & Pipeline ReadinessAssess the access landscape for prioritized pipeline assets across AstraZeneca's portfolio; identify potential barriers, opportunities, and key success factors (KSFs) for accelerated market accessDefine and support market readiness initiatives, including policy shaping activities and engagement with patient advocacy groups (PAGs)Escalate strategic issues and recommendations to the Early Asset Lead as appropriateEarly Evidence & Commercial IntegrationSupport evidence gap assessment and align access strategy with medical evidence generation plans in collaboration with Medical AffairsContribute to commercial assessments — including treatment pattern studies, product profile testing, claims analysis, and patient research — to support business cases and investment decisionsWork with Insights & Analytics teams to translate primary market research into actionable access insightsNPP Governance & ReportingProvide the Early Asset Lead with clear, evidence-based recommendations regarding pipeline opportunities and risksMaintain progress indicators and prepare regular updates for Early Asset governance forums and internal decision-making bodiesEducation, Qualifications, and ExperienceEssentialBachelor's degree in pharmacy, life sciences, health economics, or related field;
