Associate - Chief of Staff

Role: Associate Chief of Staff Location: IBC Knowledge Park, Bangalore Reporting to: Chief Of Staff for COO - Operations Team name: Operations Vertical About the Team and the Role: The Operations team at Ather is responsible for developing future-ready strategies, executing manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and supply chain operations, and driving business integration across the vertical. This role is for a strategic-minded engineering professional who will support the COO and Chief of Staff in scenario planning, KPI monitoring, stakeholder management, and executing critical org-level operational excellence initiatives. Responsibilities Develop and refine future-ready strategies for the Operations vertical aligned with overall organizational objectives and external market trends. Drive business planning and integration across the vertical by engaging stakeholders to capture mid-term and long-term vision. Formulate strategic scenarios across product, location, process, people, and plants to generate actionable recommendations. Conduct Kepner-Tregoe (KT) analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and stakeholder view assessments for scenario evaluations. Perform industry benchmarking across products, processes, people, and plants, backed by secondary research to strengthen strategy formulation. Streamline vertical-wide communication and monitor functional KPIs to ensure alignment with the Head of Operations. Collaborate with functional heads to identify and execute operational excellence initiatives across the vertical. Represent the Operations vertical and the COO on critical organization-level projects. Experience and Qualifications B.E. / M.E. in Industrial, Production, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; MBA in Operations or Supply Chain Management. 6-9 years of experience in Production Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Strategic Planning, or as Technical Assistant to a COO. Must Have Competencies Strategic scenario planning and business integration within manufacturing and operations environments. Data-driven decision-making utilizing Kepner-Tregoe (KT) analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and industry benchmarking. Operational planning, KPI tracking, and cross-functional performance monitoring. Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts and digital competency applications in operations and manufacturing. Good to Have Competencies Manufacturing and supply chain strategic planning. Strategic and operational logistics management within manufacturing ecosystems. Knowledge of labor laws and industrial labor practices within plant environments.
