About The Role

DescriptionThe Painter and Stenciler is responsible for applying paint and customer-specific stenciling to wooden reels in accordance with company quality standards and customer requirements. This role ensures that reels are properly prepared, painted, and marked with accurate customer information while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. The Painter and Stenciler plays an important role in ensuring product quality, appearance, and compliance with customer specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Employee may be required to perform, but is not limited to, the following duties

Prepare reels for painting and stenciling according to company and customer specifications.
Apply paint to wooden reels, ensuring proper coverage and finish on both sides as required.
Apply customer-specific stenciling, markings, logos, identification numbers, or other required information accurately.
Verify that the correct paint colors, stencils, and customer requirements are used for each reel.
Inspect completed reels to ensure paint coverage, stencil quality, accuracy, and overall appearance meet quality standards.
Touch up or correct painting and stenciling defects as needed.
Maintain painting and stenciling equipment, tools, and supplies in proper working condition.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of unnecessary hazards.
Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment.
Report quality concerns, safety hazards, equipment issues, or supply shortages to supervision.
Support daily production goals and maintain an efficient workflow.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, squat, reach, push, and pull for the duration of the shift.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to push and pull materials as required.

Safety Requirements

The employee is required to follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn, including but not limited to:
Safety glasses (face shield as required)
Hearing protection
High-visibility clothing
Gloves (not required during cutting)
Safety toe footwear
Required to participate in daily stretching exercises as part of the company’s safety and wellness program.
Failure to comply with safety standards may result in disciplinary action.
