Job Title: Warehouse Lead

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Pay Range: $26.00 - $31.00

Department: Warehouse

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the Inbound/Outbound operation and other warehouse responsibilities, including leading and guiding the functions of the order selectors, loaders and other warehouse workers. The duties of the lead are to ensure all orders are picked, packed, loaded and billed accurately.

Essential Functions

• Assist in hiring and training new employees to meet and exceed company standards, selection, errors, productivity and safety.
• Assist in re-training existing employees to meet our standards.
• Assisting in scheduling and leading the activities related to order selection, shorts, loading, truck close out and billing.
• Ensure the safety of all workers in the warehouse as per Company Policies & Procedures and Occupational Safety and Health Administration norms.
• Perform duties of any/all warehouse workers may be required to meet deadlines for completion of required tasks.
• Assist in route release and cubing procedures.
• Ensure accurate information is being input into the warehouse management system.
• Assist in performing audits on completed units of work for selection accuracy.
• Set, monitor and maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Understand and monitor key outbound operations, cost drivers and enforce corrective actions to reduce costs, where necessary.
• Complete daily tasks assigned by Operations management.
• Assume responsibilities of Supervisor upon absences.
• Other duties as assigned

• Prior warehouse experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-driven, team-oriented leader with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide constructive feedback
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and exercise prompt decision-making and have problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications

Foodservice distribution experience

PCQI or HACCP Certified

• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Prior experience with ERP, WMS systems, and RF technology
